These sessions can be over the phone, Skype, face-to-face, as appropriate.

Areas covered by Focussing on You coaching include:

Personal Development– getting your own perspective on your career (and life), not necessarily what you write in your appraisal objectives

Leadership – establishing your style and improving confidence in leading others

Time Management – juggling all that you need to

Project Management – achieving to expectations

Teamwork – establishing yourself with your peers and improving communications

Challenges – failing to get a desired position, work relationships, motivation, conflicts , coping with change etc.

Personal Development
Ideally you have a great appraisal system at work and your boss is the most helpful, appreciative person who promotes you at every appropriate opportunity. If, not, what do you do? Clients gain an understanding of their strengths, values, and what they'd like to improve

Leadership
Being a technical person, the drive to produce something of high quality will be strong. Sometimes others don't meet such high expectations. And leadership gives time challenges; getting the work done and leadership requiring totally different mindsets, time patterns and thought processes. Clients will gain an understanding in how they can deal with these challenges.

Time Management
You're probably very good at time management, but still there is too much to do. Clients will gain an understanding of what is achievable and what is not, and what is necessary to alleviate pressures.(Understanding and communication most likely priorities.)

Project Management
In the technical arena, getting the job done right is often more important than doing it to the business needs. Communications between technical area with the project manager or stakeholders are key.  Clients understand their priorities of doing a good job and 'being seen' to do a good job.

Teamwork
You may have a work objective to contribute to team-working. If you have the leadership role you may have responsibilities to instil this in the rest of the team. Clients can explore their own views, skills and gaps on this, with an independent sounding board.

Challenges
Clients will analyse the challenge from different perspectives, and explore options for dealing with it. Sharing can lessen the load and elucidate more options. We can look at motivation too, to overcome challenges.
